* Obtaining reliable information about land ownership is one of the main obstacles that many Saudi cities suffer from, which negatively affects the urban landscape in cities. Therefore, the initiative aims to produce detailed cadastral maps based on a unified system of coordinates that shows the location of the region and the unit or real estate units and their borders and features. And their numbers, lengths, and areas, identifying all government lands and real estate, and providing accurate spatial information through the land information system that will help decision-makers in preserving public property, which reduces land-related violations. This initiative is divided into three main stages: the real estate units inventory stage, the business stage The cadastral stage of preparing and updating the necessary maps. It will be implemented in the cities of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah based on Royal Decree No. 36920 dated 7/30/1437.

* The initiative contributes to achieving the goal of improving the urban landscape by facilitating access to land information and accelerating the in-kind registration of real estate.
* Expected effect: Laying the right foundation for preserving public property rights and eliminating problems arising from ownership issues.
* The initiative will produce the following outputs: 1- Developing continuous monitoring stations in Makkah and Madinah 2- Real estate maps for Makkah and Madinah. 3- Land Information System for Makkah and Madinah and the Ministry’s Agency for Lands and Surveys. 4- Topographic Maps for Makkah and Madinah. 5- Raising the efficiency of land inventory.
