An electronic service available on the Balady platform designed to support and
empower private sector establishments by ensuring they meet a minimum set of
technical and financial standards and obtain a Classification Certificate to provide
services in cities across the Kingdom, without the need to visit the authority.

Submit a request for classification certificate or immediate accreditation

● The user selects City Service Providers Classification from the list of services on the Balady platform.

● The user clicks the (Start Service) button on the Request for Classification Certificate service card and enters the system.

● The Main Business Classification screen appears.

● The user selects the classification type: (Establishments Classification) or (Engineering Offices Classification).

● The user enters the Unified National Number for establishments or the License Number for engineering offices and clicks (Verify).

● The system verifies the establishment, and after verification, the user can proceed by clicking (Next).

● The system retrieves establishment data from the Ministry of Commerce, displaying classified activities and fields. The user clicks (Next) to continue.

● The (Technical Grade) screen appears, where the user selects the fields for classification.

● After selecting the fields, a section appears for each chosen field, requiring the user to complete the Technical Evaluation Requests before clicking (Next).

● The system displays the (Project Data and Performance Record) screen (optional), where the user can enter project details or skip this step by clicking (Next).

● The system displays the (Credit Classification) screen, where the user selects a classification track and fills in the required data.

● The user must have Credit Classification.
● The user must have a Technical Standards Certificate.

Will the financial limits for contractors change under the new classification system?
"Yes, financial limits have been updated and are available on the Balady website:

How are engineering offices' requests received in the system?
"Requests from engineering offices and contractors are received through the system. If the process is automated, it is handled by the system; if it requires intervention by the Ministry or Municipality staff, it is processed by the responsible specialist.

What are the requirements to apply for classification in the Food & Catering sector?
"Classification in this field requires a technical evaluation according to the specific standard for the field (mandatory), entering the Food and Drug Authority license number (optional), in addition to attaching a copy of the license as an optional attachment within the classification request.

Will the absence of an SFDA license lead to automatic rejection of a request in the Food & Catering sector?
"No, if applying for the nutrition and catering field without a license issued by the authority, the request is not automatically rejected.

Why is the Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) license number required for classification services?
Attaching a Food and Drug Authority license is not a mandatory requirement; it is optional for establishments selecting the nutrition and catering field for classification.

Is having a commercial license mandatory to apply for classification?
"No, it is not mandatory for contractors or engineering offices.

Why is a Commercial License Number required when applying for City Service Providers Classification?
"The commercial license for the main headquarters is required to verify and ensure regulatory compliance.

How is the applicant notified when the classification certificate is ready for printing?
"Once the request is submitted, the system displays a notification of certificate issuance, and the user can print it once it is approved by the General Classification Department.

What is the procedure for classifying contractor projects by field?
The field ""Project Domain"" has been added for projects retrieved from the Accreditation service or projects entered by the beneficiary in the section of completed and ongoing projects.
