The Future of Real Estate Forum kicks off in Riyadh and witnesses the signing of agreements worth more than 10 billion riyals

His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities & Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inaugurated today the second edition of the Future of Real Estate Forum, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr bin Saud, Governor Al-Ahsa, and a number of their excellencies ministers, and senior officials in a number of government agencies and the private sector.

During the ceremony prepared for this occasion, His Excellency delivered a speech in which he welcomed their Highnesses, Excellencies, specialists, and those interested in real estate affairs, indicating that the real estate sector enjoys unlimited support from the wise leadership, being one of the pillars of the national economy, as the state - may God protect it - was keen to organize and develop it. Improving its oversight mechanisms, raising its efficiency, encouraging investment in it, and enabling it to increase its contribution to the gross domestic product.

Mr. Al-Hogail explained that the Ministry of Municipalities & Housing, and the Real Estate General Authority, devoted their efforts to organizing this forum, out of their belief in the strategic role and the goals it hopes to achieve. The Future of Real Estate Forum was planned to be a scientific and strategic intellectual gathering and a global platform to discuss the reality and future of the real estate sector in the Kingdom.

And he indicated that the convening of the Real Estate Future Forum coincides with the entry into force of the real estate brokerage system, which is one of the most prominent capabilities for developing the real estate sector and its governance, digitizing its operations, and serving beneficiaries, so that the real estate sector in the Kingdom is vital and attractive, and a stimulus for investment due to the presence of reliability and transparency in all real estate activities.

He stated that the real estate registration represents one of the main priorities of the comprehensive strategy for the real estate sector, and is directly linked to the reliability of the real estate sector and its investment attractiveness, stating that the past year 2022 witnessed radical developments and qualitative transformations, the first of which was the presence of a single reference body in the real estate registration, which is the Real Estate Authority, in addition to the issuance of Real estate real estate registration system and its implementing regulations.

His Excellency addressed the first edition of the Future Real Estate Forum in its first edition 2022, including interest and focus on the axis of harmonization and integration between government agencies and the public and private real estate development system and anticipating the future of real estate, indicating that the axes of the forum were of a local nature, and this year the forum was planned to be It has a local, regional and global character, focusing on local capabilities and global aspirations.

And he stated that the Real Estate Future Forum this year deals with (10) strategic axes, the most important of which are: the role of the emirates, governorates, ministries, and secretariats in harmonizing the empowerment of the real estate sector, regional efforts and their impact on the growth of the real estate sector in the region, the future of real estate investment, real estate systems between implementation and control, and the private sector between Regulations and empowerment in the real estate sector, benefiting that the forum invited more than (150) speakers, led by their royal highnesses, princes of regions, excellencies ministers, deputy ministers and senior officials in ministries and government agencies, real estate experts and representatives of several agencies, real estate companies and institutions, personalities and guests, Inside and outside the Kingdom, it will also be accompanied by an exhibition of (60) participating pavilions.

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, and His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities & Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, witnessed the signing of memorandums of cooperation and agreements estimated at more than 10 billion riyals in the field of real estate development and building technologies, and the establishment of 4 investment funds. To develop commercial, tourism and residential projects, and to develop housing units.

His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities & Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, had inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the second edition of the Future of Real Estate Forum.

His Excellency toured the exhibition, where participants from major real estate development and marketing companies, housing and most financing agencies, Saudi banks and relevant government agencies gave an overview of their participation.

It is noteworthy that the second edition of the Future Real Estate Forum lasts for three days, and more than 30 countries and 100 speakers representing the public and private sectors participate in it, in addition to the participation of elite economists, investors, elite decision makers and experts in the real estate sector system, locally and globally, and its work includes a number of sessions and workshops. Work, through which several axes covering the present and future of real estate are discussed.
